Do you want more height, density and coverage?  No minimum parking for Projects. None at all for Accessory Dwelling Units or Tiny Homes?  No parking for Multi-Person (62 people) buildings?

Placer says height is off the table, but not really.  The new code says height will conform with TRPA Chapter 37.  TRPA wants to increase height to 65’ by December of 2023.  You just have to wait a couple of months.

The definition of deed restricted achievable housing (a locally made-up term) allows someone with a local business license and claims to work 30 hours/week to qualify with no income cap.  Translation is market rate condos.

No cumulative analysis has been done on the 14+projects currently on the table.  No quality environmental analysis has been done since 2016.  No fire roadway by roadway evacuation study is provided.  Tell Placer Planning to vote NO.

Great turn out today at the Summit by citizens protesting TRPA and Placer County’s reckless pro development direction. While federal and state officials touched on high-level issues, they neglected to address more immediate challenges faced by residents of Tahoe. Those include public safety, livability, and overdevelopment in the Tahoe Basin.

Not only can fire happen in paradise, but it also happened today in Lahaina.  So tragic.
